Took this clip a couple weekends ago on the edge of Salmon Creek, a small stream just on the edge of downtown Juneau. The chums were making their spawning run - must have been several thousand fish in this section of stream, and most of them about 30-36" long. Maille decided she wanted to catch one... bare-handed. All the seriousness of our "circle of life" discussions were tempered by this great moment... You can imagine how proud I was!! Turn up the sound so you can hear her say "Oh, no! He's trying to get away!"

first posting
For the first test post, here's a photo of October and Finn on the Oregon Coast. We stayed at a beach house in Manzanita for a week, where October's family held a reunion. I snapped this picture as October and Finn entered the beach from a short trail through the dunes. So far, it's my single favorite photo of October and Finn together.
